Located at 4181 Holiday St NW, Canton, OH 44718, The Institute of Jaw & Facial Surgery operates as an oral serving Canton in Ohio. Around Canton, specialist offices tend to cluster near hospitals and in medical office parks, and wait times for a consultation run from a few days for an endodontist to several weeks for a busy orthodontist. Most consultations across Ohio are free or low-cost and come with a written treatment plan and price; ask whether the fee is in-network for your plan, what sedation options exist and how many visits the treatment takes. A second opinion is normal for implants, jaw surgery and full-mouth reconstruction, and reputable specialists expect it.

Canton is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Canton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had to have my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Ash under IV sedation. I was very nervous for the procedure but they got me back quickly. The IV insertion was quick and the entire procedure went smoothly with minimal pain. I was in and out well under an hour. I received detailed post-operative instructions to ensure proper healing. Staff was very friendly and competent.

A former doc who was a member of the practice made some type of a mistake on an implant he gave me causing it to fail within the 1 year warranty period. If you have had an implant you know you need to go to a regular dentist to get the abutment and crown after the oral surgeon has finished his/her part of the implant process and pay for this in addition to the oral surgeon fee. I did just that after the first, failed implant and then had to go back to the dentist and pay for another abutment and crown when the failed implant was replaced. I seem to recall Dr. S. saying this was on him so when I went to my local dentist for the second procedure I mentioned this conversation to him and assumed my guy would get reimbursed. Fast forward almost a year and I find out I am responsible for the second charge. I reluctantly wrote a check for over $3000 and still have a bitter taste in my mouth because I had to pay for something that should not have failed so quickly, if ever, and was an error on the oral doc. I think The Institute should step up and reimburse me because it is the right thing to do. I'm hoping they do

Dr. Ash is truly passionate about his work. He cares about the quality of care for his patients as well as the staff. They work quickly and efficiently. If you need extractions done, please consider this office. They will answer all of your questions. Whether youβre an adult or you have a child in need of his services, youβll be in good hands here! My young daughter was well taken care of with multiple extractions. We will be using this office again if ever needed. Not in our experience, but based off of some other reviews: if you follow your pre-op and post-op care as directed and properly, youβll be on your way to healing quickly. If you face complications post-op which can happen at any office, the office wants to know and help. Most importantly, address all your concerns ahead of time during your consultation so that youβre aware.

I have had two procedures with Dr. Ash, having my wisdom teeth taken out and a jaw surgery to correct an underbite, and I have been very happy with the results. Dr. Ash is very kind and did everything possible to ease my nerves before both procedures, answering every question that I had. A day or so after my jaw surgery, I was having some bad discomfort late at night and he was willing to take my call at 11:30 PM to help me out and give me some things I could do to ease the discomfort. I have gotten many compliments on the new appearance of my face after surgery. After my wisdom teeth were taken out, he called me later that night to make sure everything was going well. I would recommend Dr. Ash to anyone.

I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday by Dr Sundheimer and his team. Best experience I could have asked for. They were so gentle and caring. They got me in the very next day for surgery!!! I highly recommend; heβs an amazing doctor.

I got my wisdom teeth out last year. The next week at my check up, Dr. Ash spent less than 10 seconds looking to see if I was healing fine. He didnβt pay attention enough to even see that I was indeed not fine.It turned out I had a nasty infection from my wisdom teeth removal that he caused and I had an abscess that had to be drained days later because of this. I left the office that day and proceeded to have this infection draining down the back of my throat and it caused stomach and bowel problems. I had to go to the ER to get stool samples tested because of the infection. Dr Ash never prescribed me antibiotics. He was completely unprofessional and plainly irresponsible for his actions. I would never recommend this place. My health was at risk for two weeks because of his negligence.

I love Dr Ash and what he has done for my family. He has taken out wisdom teeth on 2 of my children and they did absolutely wonderful. We went to a different oral surgeon for our daughterβs wisdom teeth earlier on and she was a mess for 2 weeks. She had 2 dry sockets, severe pain, vomiting and swelling. I recommend Dr Ash for anyone who asks me for advice. He has also helped me tremendously with TMJ issues.

I never write reviews but I couldn't miss an opportunity to complement amazing service. Dr. Ash took out all 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth and everything went very smoothly, the procedure took less than 30 mins. Although it was a little more expensive here than it would have been at another facility, Dr. Ash and the nurses/assistants were all so kind and made sure I was comfortable and made the cost totally worth it. I could not have asked for a better experience, especially since I was so so nervous to get my wisdom teeth out. I would definitely recommend.
